FAQs

DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

Yes, deposits are essential to secure your booking - no booking will be confirmed without one. This will be taken off the total amount of the tattoo.

Deposits are non-refundable.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

I understand that plans sometimes change. You may reschedule your appointment and transfer your deposit one time, provided you give at least 48 hours notice. Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your appointment.

Deposits are non-refundable.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?

Avoid the sun in the lead-up to your appointment, as I cannot tattoo sunburnt skin. Make sure you are well-rested, eat a big breakfast, and drink plenty of water. Wear comfy clothes that do not obstruct the area I will be tattooing or that you don't mind getting ink on. Fruit is also great to snack on during the day to keep your energy levels up.

CAN I SEE THE DESIGN BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes! After booking and deposit, I'll create your custom design and share it with you before your appointment. We can refine the design through email with up to two rounds of revisions. Final revisions will be completed 48 hours before your session, though minor adjustments can still be made day-of if needed.

DO I NEED TO SHAVE?

I will do this to avoid any irritation to the skin, but you can give the area a trim if needed.

CAN I USE NUMBING CREAM?

During your tattoo session, I can apply lidocaine to help manage discomfort. However, I don't recommend using numbing products during the healing process as they can interfere with proper healing and potentially make the experience more difficult once they wear off.

WHAT AFTERCARE STEPS SHOULD I FOLLOW?

• Leave the second skin (bandage) on for 4-5 days to protect your fresh tattoo from bacteria. Don't worry about any fluid buildup under the bandage - this is completely normal. If you notice redness or a rash around the tattoo, or along the edges of the second skin, you may be having a sensitivity reaction. While rare, if this occurs, remove the second skin and continue with regular aftercare. Additionally, if water or outside substances get under the bandage, remove it immediately and begin the regular aftercare process.

• After removing (pull up and out, not down), clean twice daily with lukewarm water and mild antibacterial soap. No shower gel.

• Pat dry completely and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free, alcohol-free moisturizer. Be careful not to over-moisturize.

• For 4 weeks, avoid: scratching, picking scabs, tight clothing, heavy sweating, saunas, pools, oceans, hot tubs, shaving, and direct sunlight.

• Once healed, always protect your tattoo with SPF when in the sun.

Remember that proper aftercare is crucial for the best results, especially with fine line work. While healing, your tattoo may not look its best - be patient, the final result will be worth it.

After 4 weeks, please send me a photo of your healed tattoo. One free touch-up is included after the first month, and I'll assess if touch-ups are needed based on your healed photo.
